Doctor Hafa: an elf, the family doctor
Aliyah: a young girl, Ava and Aliyah’s daughter. She does not eat anything, and would be given nutrient by Doctor Hafa each time after she faints. She does not attend school, and spends all her time studying about food and designing dishes. She prepares dishes according to her design with the food provided by her mothers.
Scene One
Lovers’ Bath, Swing in Spring
[Doctor Hafa dances ballet on a swing built by green reed and cocoa beans. The seat has the shape of a violin, with stony strings.]
Doctor Hafa: (he speaks in a dreamy way, and occasionally sings)
Last night,
A blue-eyed voyager slept
In the embrace of a dumping ground.
A bored broken blue glass marble conspired
With the blue fissures of her eyelids.
They gave birth to a deep-blue dream
Of an elf named Doctor Hafa.
The princesses in fairytales inherit
The floating white dress from it.
Its tress, curtain
Of rain.
Its eyes, entry
Of crystal corridors.
Its skin dark
As chasm.
Its lips
A decaying rose.
And Aliyah its master and marionette,
A tender, withered lily
Lying on the bed of a lake.
A lithe, snowy bird
Dying in endless, gentle rain.
She woke up and broke the
Broken blue glass marble.
The newborn serrated stars
Cut her blue eyes.
From the three deep reservoir
Now broken
Blue water ran
With red dance shoes
Hidden in its newborn heart.
A blind voyager kissed
Her destination,
A virgin blue land.
Serrated stars, thousands,
Cried at her feet,
But they had exchanged their body
For soft glows, and would
Never, never cut again.
Her lips buried their cries, serenade,
With the previous night,
Under the blue universe.
[Doctor Hafa disappears. Ava appears on the stage, lying on the slightly swinging swing.]
