16 Courses of Clinical Medicine, the First Batch of MOOCs at

On October 9, the first batch of 16 Clinical Medicine courses at Shandong University was formally launched on MOOC, a platform for online open courses, ranking first in the number of similar courses among institutions of higher education in China. Up to now, Shandong University has established 31 medical courses in total, covering basic medicine and clinical medicine.

The 16 courses include 9 professional required courses:Diagnostics, Doctor-patient Communication, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dermatology and Venereology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Respiratory Diseases, Emergency Medicine, and Hematopoietic Diseases in Children; 4 professional elective courses: Foundations and Practice of Sleep Medicine, Clinical Sleep Medicine, Clinical Cell Therapeutics; Clinical Anatomy and Operative Approach of Spinal Surgery; and 3 general education courses: Child Health Care, Skin and Beauty, and Health Management of Stroke Patients, forming a well-rounded clinical curriculum. The team is strong with so many prestigious experts in China giving lectures in person, and leaders in the field of clinical science and clinical teachers with years of rich experience taking the charge.

The courses are a combination of theory and practical teaching, with a large number of video teaching resources of clinical and practical operations presented online to show the real clinical environment and the teaching characteristics of clinical medicine, realizing the deep integration of modern information technology and education.
