Cloud Storage

We’re students of Computer science and Tech. Data exchanging is a very common thing. What will u do to carry ur data between home and school or lab and dorm? A removable flash drive may help—copy files in and out. But if I were u, I could just do one thing:

Doing my job, when finished, shut down my computer. And when I got home or other places, the files I edited are already there. Everything has already been synced.

This is because “Cloud storage” is working. And that can totally change your way of working.

How does the “Cloud storage” help in our life? There is a simple example. Just like what I said. I’m doing editing my files in one computer (maybe in the office). When finished, the cloud storage service uploads my files into the server automatically. When I got home, it downloads them to the computer at home. That is why I got everything synced.

U may probably say: ”It’s just like a web drive like QQ disc.” But what I emphasize is the word “automatically” .The traditional web drive cannot do this job.

“Cloud storage” is not this far. There’re some other uses. For example, there are two people editing a same file. How does the other one know what u have done with it? With “Cloud storage”, u could never mind that. When u finish typing and save. The “Cloud” will remind the other person there is something new. And he could see the newest in the first time.

The “cloud” can be also used as a traditional web drive. U can download ur files everywhere, Maybe a mobile phone or what. U can also upload ur photos and sync to the computers. And U can share ur files to ur friend. And this give u a large virtual group of computer.

This is what I what to say--”Cloud service”. And it’s worth trying. There’re some good cloud storage service, such as “dropbox”, ”sugarsync”, “databank”, “evernote” and so on. They all provide free service , so I recommend them to u.
