SDU Joins Hands with Shandong Commerce Group to Establish Ne
[ Home ]Shandong University (SDU) has joined hands with Shandong Commerce Group to build the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Shandong University.
The academy will promote technological research and development of the pharmaceutical industry in Shandong province.
The inaugurated ceremony for the new academy was held on Jan 29.
Ling Peixue said at the ceremony that the cooperation will help pharmaceutical research and technology innovation. The academy will provided a platform for sharing equipment and key technologies and for luring more high-tech talents to carry out in-depth academic exchanges.
Shandong Commerce Group is a state-owned company in Jinan, engaging in diversified fields ranging from smart retailing to the modern financial industry and health care.
Chen Zijiang, the deputy president of Shandong University, said Shandong University also has close cooperative ties with the Shandong Pharmaceutical Sciences Academy and has had great results in platform construction, technology breakthroughs, product research and talent training.
Pharmaceutical science is one of the key disciplines in Shandong University. The cooperation will build a platform for talent training and exchange, information sharing service and joint project application. It will also enhance scientific research and innovation in the medical and health industry in Shandong province.
The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Shandong University is expected to be a world-class institute of pharmaceutical sciences supported jointly by government, hospitals and companies.
