Intro to the club

Well, just to put it out there (not that anyone will ever see my blog) - I am not writing for the sake of anyone so do not judge my use of multiple language ranging from Chinese to Japanese and, of course, English. So people say stating your goals and your life in a blog format will help you reassess your life and find the good in it - and I desperately need that right now - hence this blog.

Let's just start with goals first - cause why not. Hmm, we can do that 10 facts about me thing, but I am pretty sure I won't be able to have exactly 10 facts but well, everything has to start somewhere.

1) I am from Hong Kong, but my nationality and shit are quite fucked up and I will leave it at that.

2) I study in the UK for my undergraduate degree and hoping to stay here fore my postgraduate and on but I honestly have no idea and really open to whatever happen in the future - trying hard to not be a control freak right here

3) I study Chemistry and I genuinely love chemistry - #nerd. Well, I find it a bit hard to imagine myself working as a chemist or teaching chemistry (hell no that ain't happening) but you never know, you never know.

4) I do have a chinchilla but sadly it is not with me right now because student flats are really not forgiving in allowing pets. I miss him, but I don't pay enough attention to him I think, which is sort of sad - I should probably work on that.

5) I have a twin sister, and we are not identical (aka fraternal). She studies in the UK as well, and is often my source of joy but also source of pain (let's hope she never sees this post).

6) I studied the IB. People say "forget about your highschool now that you are in university" - that's absolutely true, I hate people who talk about what score they get in highschool degree and stuff - BUT I have to mention this because I believe IB is genuinely the best diploma program IN THE WORLD. (yes, my future kid, you are going to be an IB-er as well).

7) You may have noticed, but English is not my first language. I was born in Hong Kong and lived there for 10 years, then moved to Beijing. I did go to an international school when I first got to Beijing,  but that school sucks butt (well, I probably shouldn't say this but shame on you YCIS) cause most of the people speak primarily Chinese so well, not much English put in practice right? Then I moved to the other international school (THANK YOU DAD FOR MAKING THAT DECISION) and that's when my English became less disasterous.

8) I speak Japanese. I have ZERO connection to Japanese whatsoever - no Japanee relative or whatever. So, Hong Kong people love to travel to Japan and that definitely has been a big influence on me. But more importantly, I think everyone has been through the stage where you get obsessed with anime (especially Asians) and my obsession has gone further and beyond - I started to watch Japanese TV series and shows. Thanks to the subtitles (yeah), I manage to learn Japanese on my own (with my sister actually) and we can go to Japan and communicate no problemo. People get scared when I tell them this so yeah.

9) I am running out of ideas...OH I love to eat, and I am on the chubbier side - so I sort of have a workout schedule now so don't be shocked when you see workout posts.

10) I am a control freak (legit one) and I overthink A LOT. and worse, I usually don't voice them except to my dad and few friends. I get really scared when I don't know what is going to happen and I keep doubting/regretting my own decision (like that is going to do shit), but I am trying to get above it. We will see hwo that turns out.
