As we all known, Mahjong is one of the most popular games in China. Now, let’s learn more about this fascinating game together.
First of all, I want to talk about the origin of mahjong.From Baidu and other websites, I find there are different opinions about theorigin of mahjong and also I find that in different places it has different names and shapes. But we can be sure that it is originated in ancient China and it is invented by Han Dynasty long long ago.
What’s more, let me introduce the characteristic in general. Its shape is usually rectangle and there are different signs on it, such as wordsand pictures. In addition, there are 136 cards in total.
The most important and complicated thing is the playingrule, no matter from the searching results or my own experience, I know differentplaces have different rules, even in the same place they are different. But howto play often depends on the area and themost common form of mahjong is to play with four people.
Mahjonginvolves skill, strategy and calculation, as well as a certain degree of luck. Somepeople, especially the old, enjoy the game very much. Interestingly, manyadults spend almost all the time on the table during Spring Festival. However,mahjong is alsopopularly played as a gambling game.
Maybeyou could have some fun through playing when you have noting to do, so it is OKto have a small try. But, be careful, don’t become crazy!
