Shandong University Won the Runner-up in the National Final

On November 7, the national final of the third "China Exploration"——Sports & Culture for Overseas Students in China was held in Beijing University of Technology. The Shandong University team composed of nine international students and two Chinese students won the second place in the national final, with the first place in the orienteering event. SDU Team is the only one that entered the top three in consecutive three competitions of the "China Exploration" after it won the Champion in 2013 and the third place in 2016.
Tian Xuejun, Vice Minister of Education attended the closing ceremony and made a speech. He proposed that the series of activities such as the "China Exploration" aimed at strengthening the exchanges between Chinese and overseas students, deepening international students' understanding of Chinese culture and society and displaying students’ spiritual outlook. He also extended his hopes to foreign students for good command of professional knowledge as well as fine understanding of Chinese culture and development, so as to build bridges of friendship between China and other countries as cultural ambassadors.
"China Exploration", sponsored by the Ministry of Education since 2013, is one of the brand activities about overseas students' experience and practices in China. Thousands of international students from hundreds of universities in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government attended the 2018 activity.
